If you are going to need some professional and private away from outside distractions for example it is going to be mandatory that your work space be in a room that has a door.

After you have your office area set up it is time to get the supplies and equipment that will be needed for the particular type of work you will be doing. The last thing you want to be doing your first day on the job is going out to buy supplies that you forgot to get before getting started. This can get you off to a rough start..

It is vitally important that you try to set some sort of boundaries for both your family and your friends. Before you even begin the job you should express to your family and friends how important it is that they allow you certain times of the day to be able to work without interruptions. It is probably a good idea if you set up a work schedule that you should follow and have those work hours posted somewhere that your family members can see them. You should also let all of your friends know what these hours are so that they are not calling you all through the day because they know you're home. You need to stand firm on these hours in order for you to be a success.

Make sure that you schedule yourself breaks and times where you will be able to do the daily chores that you know are sitting there nagging you to do.
